RenchLog Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Verilune ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use RenchLog, our smart motorcycle service book application for iOS and iPadOS.

Data Collection

RenchLog is designed to keep your garage, services, parts, and documents under your control on your devices. Verilune does not sell your personal information or use advertising SDKs in RenchLog.

What the app stores for functionality:

Bike profiles, service records, parts inventory, documents, and reminders you create
Receipt photos and order screenshots you choose to capture or attach
OCR results you select when scanning receipts or reading the dash odometer
Imported parts batch JSON you bring in from ChatGPT or Files
App preferences and optional sync state

What we do not collect or use:

Google AdMob or any third-party advertising SDK
Advertising IDs for ads
Verilune analytics SDKs that track your garage content
Server-side storage of your service book by Verilune outside Apple iCloud when you enable sync

If you contact us for support by email or the support form, we retain the content of that message so we can respond.

Camera and Photos

With your permission, RenchLog uses the camera to scan shop receipts and online order screens (live OCR tap-to-grab) and to read dash odometer values. You may also attach still receipt photos to service records.

Camera and photo access is used only for these features. Frames you process stay on your device unless you choose to include photos in your service book data that syncs via iCloud.

ChatGPT and External Import

Optional ChatGPT batch import is a workflow you run yourself: you share receipt images with ChatGPT outside the app, then import the JSON file into RenchLog. Verilune does not send your receipts to OpenAI or operate that chat on your behalf. What you share with ChatGPT is governed by OpenAI’s policies.

Local Storage and iCloud

Your service book is stored on your device. If you enable iCloud for RenchLog, Apple CloudKit may sync your garage data across your devices signed into the same Apple ID. Apple’s privacy practices apply to iCloud.

Device backups (such as iCloud Backup) may include app data if you enable system backups.

On-Device Processing

Live receipt and odometer scanning use on-device Apple Vision / Data Scanner capabilities. Optional Workshop Copilot features may use on-device Vision OCR and Apple Intelligence where available. These flows are designed to process content on your device rather than uploading garage media to Verilune servers.

Bike Transfer

When you export or transfer a service book (for example via AirDrop, Files, or a transfer QR), you choose who receives that package. Recipients who import it into RenchLog obtain a copy of the shared book data.

Third-Party Services

RenchLog does not use Google AdMob or third-party advertising networks.

The app uses Apple system services, including:

Camera / Photos: Receipt scanning, dash reads, and optional receipt attachments
Vision / Data Scanner: On-device OCR for tap-to-grab and mileage
CloudKit / iCloud: Optional sync across your devices
Share / Files: Import and transfer of parts JSON and bike packages

App Store and Apple Services

When you download RenchLog from the App Store, Apple may collect certain information as described in Apple’s Privacy Policy. Verilune does not receive your payment card details.

Data Security

Keep your device software up to date and use a passcode or biometric lock. iCloud sync uses Apple’s security controls for CloudKit. Limit transfers of bike packages to people you trust.

Children's Privacy

RenchLog does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents who believe a child has contacted us by email may request deletion of that correspondence at support@verilune.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
